It’s sad that most parents will say that the thing kids do obsessively at those ages parents say will never make them any money.

If only it wasn't for the educational system that robs us off of our time and creativity in those initial years. especially in my country

Omg I was literally doing everything I could - sports, music, studying, gaming. That might explain why I switch careers every few years. 😂

I loved working on cars...everyone thought I would be a mechanic. But I thought...anyone can unbolt parts and put them back again...
I wanted to be the guy who made the parts...more challenge.
So I became a machinist....
I machined parts for interstellar satellites....fighter aircraft.. ..tanks... huge land based turbines... I've machined parts for the all 3 Seawolf submarines....I helped re-machine the entire engine room for the USS Missouri...
I met Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard.. I worked on a turbine that the lead engineer was
Nikola Tesla....
My work is all over the universe.

With such a numerous and fierce competition at that one particular activity, I don't think I stand a chance at making it big, and even if I succeed I really don't think anyone would be interested.

Great, I have ADHD and I spent my school days failing every subject and my self esteem destroyed a bit further every year. Focus, if you can, cool and good for you.

Mine was drums. N i was a world class drummer when i quit at 16. I can still play. But not like that. It took years of hard work to get to the point where i could play anything i imagined.
