You never finished your tear down of the woofer I would have liked to see the coil to see the build quality and the pole piece of the magnet structure. Also how much glue they used on all the components to hold them together. You could have just shined a flashlight through the hole of the basket and would have shown the same thing you were showing without destroying that woofer. A true teardown involves cutting through the spider and exposing the coil to actually see build quality.

I guess you have never seen a quality built speaker. Obviously, why you didn't do a comparison. If that speaker was produced 50 years ago, It would not have been a top quality speaker. So to compare it with a JL Audio, would be like, comparing a Ferrari with a Toyota, pioneer being the Toyota. Kicker mid-range subs blow this junk away.
