My dads last request was to leave this earth listening to this beautiful music. He got his wish 5 years ago and whenever I'm feeling sad I listen to this and it cheers me up knowing his passing was as he wanted

When people ask me what one jazz album they should have in their collection, I respond with this album. It really epitomizes what gr3at modern jazz is all about. Arguably the best players in the world woven together under the outstanding eye of Don Sebeski make for a musical experience that has never been equaled, in my humble opinion. While the Concierto is the main piece, the other tunes just as well crafted and exhibit some phenomenal soloing. Paul and Chet work together so well and the dream rhythm section of Ron Carter, Steve Gadd, and Roland Hanna make for a fantastic listening experience. Jim Hall, well, what more can one say. Just the name is enough! This album was brought to my attention by the campus DJ back in 1975 and has been on my playlist ever since.

One of the most beautiful music I ever heard in my life! If there is a God and there is a Heaven, that's where it came from and performed by God's angels on earth in perfection for us all! Much love from San Diego, CA <3

Heard this for the first time almost 12 years ago, and I'm still addicted to this... 19 minutes of pure bliss. This piece rendition stands easily among the "Modern marvels".

I am crying but I am not sad. Crying because this music is so mellow. I feel like if I pray while these musicians are performing this music, MY PRAYER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY ANSWERED. I AM travelling in the ether waves while my whole body vibrates with the universe.

I am glad to see that there are only 39 people out of 1.4k who don't like this... you can't please every lady gaga fan in the world even though you have a masterpiece in the competition. This kills Miles' version, by the way, in my humble opinion. 19 minutes of pure mastery by all involved. As a life-long jazz fan, an alto, trumpet and guitar player - this is a 'listen and learn' experience. Thank god for these recordings and Christian D. for posting such a great capture of it.

How the h**l have I got to 61 years of age and never heard this? It's a truly remarkable arrangement with quite astonishing musicianship. Thank you so much for the upload. And to the handful of people who have "disliked" this; you are entitled to your opinion. It's just that your opinion sucks.
