Unwise to use boots as old as those OG Tiempos, because the glue which holds everything together has a shelf-life.

I've had old, cherished, premium K-leather Nikes and Diadoras literally fall apart on me during the middle of play. Didn't matter that they were well-cared for and kept in humidity controlled storage. The glue still disintegrates over time, and the decay is basically invisible until the moment the boot just explodes.

If you buy OG Tiempos from a consignment shop or whatever, you had best only be planning for them to look pretty on a shelf, as a collector's item.
