I need to see that movie. I don’t think I ever did, and I love Richard Geer . He looks awesome in a uniform. That song was popular when I was in 8th /9th grade, good times for music. Not like now . I miss normal music and normal times.

This movie and song shaped so many of my memories as a child. It had everything from loss, tragedy, forgiveness, passion, deceit, greed and happy ever after. Gere was a fab actor and Debra Winger was just beautiful. What a great chemistry, no one could have done this film better than them. ❤️ Xx

I love this movie. I drove to Pensacola right after nursing school because I wanted to see where part of this movie was filmed. Drove around the Navy base and went to the museum there. Laying on the beach and watching the jet pilots training was awesome. That was just a year before finishing my BSN and entering the Army Nurse Corps. Awesome days.
