Can a student earn top marks without using real world examples? Meaning, do students need actual examples of every economic concept they can pull out(i.e. The price of Butter increased in Madrid in 2006 by 5%, resulting in a 10% increase in the Qd of margarine, thus illustrating cross-price elasticity...etc.).
What level of example is satisfactory? Difficult time finding an answer to this. Thanks

My teacher constantly stresses the fact that we HAVE to use real-life examples when answering paper 1 questions, however I find it very hard to think of/ find some examples for specific areas. For example, a government which has used/uses a contractionary fiscal policy to reduce inflation. Do you have any tips on how to do this?

What if the question isn't explicitly asking for a debate? Like: Discuss the usefulness of PED for business and the gov-t". Does it then transform into "on the one hand, --usefulness for the businesses--", "on the other hand, --usefulness for the gov-t--"?

Please help.. You say you need to evaluate each of your points for each side of the argument, but once you write the first point, how do you evaluate it without bringing in the second point? I would have thought you say the first point, bring in the counter argument and then evaluate both in the final paragraph. Is that wrong? Thanks for the help.
