The Golden Valley City Council approved a labor agreement with the union representing the city’s police officers. The deal approved includes a three percent raise for officers starting in 2024. The move comes as the city works to fill 14 open positions within the department. “We are here to support our police department in any way possible, and I think this contract reflects that,” said Mayor Shep Harris in the Tuesday night council meeting.
