Ronald Rowe, the acting director of the Secret Service, and FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate are set to appear before a joint hearing of the Senate Judiciary and Homeland Security committees Tuesday. The hearing comes after NewsNation obtained text messages from local police officers showing concerns about suspicious behavior exhibited by Trump rally gunman Thomas Crooks in the hours and minutes before the July 13 assassination attempt against Donald Trump.
