My theory has been that Morris was never real. The Entity knew the only way it could have Skye was to break her down. It used Skye's guilt against her by pretending to be Gemma and the Morris hallucinations to give her false hope that she could defeat the Entity if she killed herself. The Entity played her like a harp from hell and her final note was thinking she could end herself in the freezer only to find out the whole thing was a trick. That was why it laughed at her and then she found herself on stage with the Entity. It wanted to get out and it did because everyone in the audience is now infected. The only question remains is if those who watched the video through one of the fans streaming it will be infected as well. If so, it would parallel the DCeased event where the anti-life equation infected the world through social media.

Everything after the first breakdown being a hallucination makes the most sense. Her mother probably got her sedated so she could rest and the entity went to town on her psyche. Probably controlled her unconscious body to send texts and whatnot.

Was the guy ever even real, no one reacted to him ever in the movie. That scares me because she really had no control and everything was part of the illusion. She never drove, she never even took back control from fake gemma. Genjutsu within genjutsu. The entity allows ppl to escape to spread

The way the "demon" Gemma knew how to use the phrase:L "You're my ride or die b----!" is because she said it to the original imagined ("demon") Gemma at the beginning (and the demon remembered the phrase, and used it on her later (in the car after "massacring her mom"!)) Amazing, intricate plot details, I see "new sh-t" on every rewatch!

I think the entity is killing faster or slower depending on status. And I think that her ex-best friend calling her in the car, showing us that she had NEVER even come to see Skye, reveals that everything since the signature event was a complete hallucination.

Edit: this includes Morris. The entity definitely had to have come across people who came up with the same ideas about dying in isolation, so it pre-emptively moved her in a different direction by making "someone else" suggest it to her, only for it to be fake.

As with most-all of your Works, I loved this and found it of value. I personally feel that the Entity just had to've accomplished the Mass Infection it obviously sought, slating that as some singular Premise behind everything and the particular manner it drove her, till that 1 set eventuality
