Yeah most spool pin guides out there just say "sometimes you will end up dropping pins but that's okay" and they don't go into detail of the true binding order, so I really appreciate this video

Even though I am a veteran picker with over 10 years of experience, I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for putting together and uploading tutorials like this, because when I first got into the hobby/trade(2005-2006) there was VERY little useful/easy to understand information pertaining to the subject online and due to that it took me longer than it should have for me to get the fundamentals down pat.For instance the first book I every purchased "The Secrets of Lock Picking" by Steven Hampton, was loaded with all sorts of misinformation(e.g never explained that there was a binding order and just said to pick from back to front)and while the info contained in the MIT guide to lock picking was accurate, it was quite lengthy and verbose, and presented the theory of how a pin tumbler and picking works in a manner which made them difficult for me to grasp

Great explanation of spools and binding order.
I have 4 Abus 80T/50s
Have been able to open 2 of them. They really make you pay attention to the binding order!!!

Outstanding explanation here. You have a great understanding of how they work and the way you share this is simply fantastic. Keep up the good work. I must say, when I first started picking, those spool pins really got me frustrated, now that I understand it I find them very easy to deal with. Like you mentioned here, slow down and figure out the binding order.

Just wanted compliment you on the marvelous channel and consistently great content. Additionally, your talent as an advisor and presenter have gone from good to impressive. Remarkable gains in what seems like a short time (maybe because I just found / subscribed to the channel a little over a week ago). Your leadership and performance is inspiring. Thank You!!. Best, Ben

This is hands down one of the best instruction videos I saw thus far 😍 keep on posting! I just started picking and I openden my first 3 DOM 2 star euro cilinder in one day! I’m kinda proud about this because I only just started a week ago. I also ordered a Euro slender kit because my southord psx-14 is a bit too thick for European locks. 😊😊

Thank you very much, but normally in most cases we won’t know the true binding order first when we encounter a lock with spool pins.

What a great video. This is the missing link between everyone and fast pickers. Its a memory deal, I always thought it was only picking skill/tension skill honing. LPL always goes 1-6 front to back every time... Hows he doin that? I was "not sure what was holding me up right now"? but I think you nailed it
