Service Mesh is an absolutely intriguing technology. It's almost an exclusive and elitist club, but quite rightly so, considering the cutting edge solutions on offer in this space and the sheer capabilities provided to enterprises wishing to explore Cloud Native to its fullest.

Buoyant Inc have been developing Linkerd for a number of years and their project is the only service mesh to make it to graduation status, in the CNCF Landscape, despite the recent addition of Istio service mesh, from Google.

I recently sat down with Jason Morgan, Technical Evangelist at Buoyant Inc, to get an introduction to Linkerd and what a service mesh actually is, what it does, how it helps to redefine the container and microservices space.

In this talk, we do a simple intro, to gently ease viewers into this space, but we plan to do a practical demo in the future, hopefully, so watch this space for more from Jason and Linkerd.
