Guten Abend, Gute Nacht" ("Good evening, good night") also known as Brahms' Lullaby. The lyrics of the first verse came from a collection of German folk poems called "Des Knaben Wunderhorn" and the second stanza was written by Georg Scherer in 1849.

My Nana sang this to me every night when I was little. She doesn't anymore but this reminds me of those nights when I couldn't sleep or had a nightmare and she'd let me lay with her while she sang this to me. Brings me back to a nicer time of my life. Thank you for helping to heal that child in me
