Показать описание
In this edition of Inside the Leaderboard, Tommy Marquez compares past Open winners and chats with 16-year-old Emma Cary about her Open performance. Later, Marquez breaks down the official Quarterfinals cutlines by continent.
Decorated athlete Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr has won the CrossFit Games four times and this year, she can add a worldwide Open win to her list of accolades. When compared to previous 2015 and 2018 Open winners, Marquez makes an argument as to why Toomey-Orr’s win was the most impressive.
Marquez also talks with Cary about her goals as she moves through the 2021 competitive season. Cary finished this year’s Open in second place overall, and is the youngest athlete to ever win an Open workout worldwide.
“My goal has always been to qualify for the 2021 Games in the individual division,” Cary says.
Even with big aspirations, Cary is taking the season one stage at a time.
“After Semifinals, we will see if I set a bigger goal for the season because once I get there, I want to make a statement.”
