Thank you for a very informative video with commentary and sharing your experience. Is it possible to make test if heatsink/thermalpad on hdmi chip makes a differencies in temperatures and system managing of fan speed with it? I readed on reddit that there is also temperature sensor, and saw videos on yt with mods with thermal pads on it just alone. Did you tested something like that or maybe for future project?

maybe have the ps4 bluray player external in a 3d printed case you only need to etend the wires or have some kind of connector in the back, maybe that wil help more for cooling ! the ps4 in general has bad cooling
