I could watch the movie a million times and still love it

Yes. Yes. Yes. This movie wasn't what I expected, some twisted love drama. It was so much more. It was about self. How you lose yourself to the image of others. To the standard. Having it all and still not being able to be truly happy because the money, the fame, the surgeries & everything. If it doesn't make you happy is it worth it? And if that's all you need to be happy, well to each there own.... But you couldn't see me for me, I couldn't be happy. If all you see is my label, brand, and whatever else I have. None of it is worth it. Ugh I love this movie.

This is the best romance drama movie I've ever seen, blows the Tyler Perry movies out the water.

I don't understand why so many people avoided this film. Maybe, some people don't like seeing a love story which involved people of African descent. The narrative included more than a love story: the film made a statement about being who you truly are existentially, that fame and money will not make you happy necessarily.  There were great performances by Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Nate Parker. They created the feelings of real-life circumstances: friendship, love and understanding. Love is a beautiful feeling when it is not hurting you.

just watched this on Netflix and this is a good ass movie. it captures the truth behind all the fame in the industry today. somehow I connected to this on another level. amazing soundtrack and amazing movie. well done black birdies well done.

I saw this movie last night and I fell in love. There are so many celebrities who are dealing with suicide attempts and drug abuse, because no-one sees them, no-one knows who they really are, but if we take the time out to treat them like every-day people like me and you, we will hear less about these random deaths. The couple in the movie displayed friendship and love, something that we should take time to do before allowing fame and money to get to our heads. And to think that this movie didn't display heavy sexual content or violence in every scene. Damn!!!  Love the movie and will watch it again.    Plus, the soundtrack is awesome.

I've seen this movie twice now, and while I enjoyed the entire thing, this song is definitely my favorite part. No commercialization, no objectification...just raw talent, and pure happiness. Exactly what music should be!

I'm tearing up, I went to the Movie theatre alone as my marriage was ending. I didn't know what the movie was about I only knew that Sia chandelier was on the commercial. I knew that I had to watch it. Boy.... Who knew that this song right here was exactly what I was feeling. I have watched this movie maybe a hundred times.
