We had this happen to us while parked at a stop light. All my dad could do was put his hand over my mom while his 3 kids took the impact in the back seat. We were all fine but the woman was covered in broken front window glass and cut up and bleeding all over. She was freaking out screaming she had lost control of her car.

But the red car is the one that caused the accident by cutting in front of him making a left turn. 🤷

Last time I was in an accident I was turning left into my parents driveway. Drunk ass driver plowed into me from behind at like 40. At least I could "drive from the scene" as in simply parked my smashed up car at my parents until insurance picked it up.

Making a sudden turn in such situations is a very bad idea. The driver should just brake instead of turning so he wouldn't lose control and ram into an innocent third party.

The red car would be at fault though technically because he cause the driver to swerve by cutting him off
