There should be a second question regarding joining the EU on the ballot, after the EU failings during the pandemic.
Not only that but the Nato question could a anti-nuclear Scotland be an ally in Nato. A country that doesn't have a Military Force that won't want Trident on it's soil.

6 years ago the morning after the United Kingdom voted to leave the EU, Scotland's first minister stated that because of this "change" in circumstances the time was right to get second bite at the separatism in the United Kingdom.

The short answer to why this has not delivered is because it is not within the competency and gift of the devolved Scottish Assembly to deliver this. They are unable to deliver things which are within the commentaries of the Scottish Parliament such as ferries to be delivered on time.

If the UK General Election was fought on the platform that the UK was going to leave earth on a lunar shuttle for claim the moon for the Empire, would we think it could happen?

The Scotland act which devolved some powers of the British Parliament to Scotland clearly states that the Constitution, the Crown and the Union with England, Wales and Northern Ireland are NOT Devolved.
