Ngima Dawa Sherpa is a Forest Guardian from Ilam district who has excelled as a local citizen scientist and youth ambassador of red panda conservation.

In this episode, Ngima shares his knowledge of red pandas and their habitat, threats, challenges to conservation, and more. The information shared is unique and spoken from his years of experience as a Forest Guardian.

Forest Guardians, like Ngima, wear many hats – they are forest stewards, citizen scientists, nature guides, red panda trackers, and educators – but they are the frontline Guardians of the unique, important, and endangered red panda. RPN currently has more than 100 Forest Guardians. We are forever grateful for their contribution.
