This is my first time modeling seriously with styrene. It is a really cool material that's easy to manipulate in many ways. Not a perfect build, but hopefully I can improve in the future. Enjoy!

You gotta crawl before you run. I've been doing this for over 25 years, and still struggle with things. You'll learn what works and what doesn't, through trial and error. But also, YouTube is an excellent resource to see what others do and don't do. Always be ready for criticism, both positive, and negative. Just keep up the good work, and grow from each project. Our community needs people like you.

Great build. I'd love to make a battle of the planets Phoenix. They sell them now, but in the late 70s only Star Wars toys were sold and my parents couldn't afford them. So I built BOTP and SW vehicles out of card stock and construction paper.

You will look back during future builds and know you had to start somewhere.you have to walk before you can run.The beauty is usually in the design. You look pretty adept with the construction work.Which airbrush are you using if I may ask.

Just watched this, really very good and instructional. I might have painted it a metallic red and maybe continued the sings out toward the front in a triangular geometry if you get what I mean. This of course is not a criticism.
I built a spaceship using an old Lego container which looks like a Zepplin and I added all kind of stuff onto it, I was quite happy his it turned out as a first time scratch build but learned so much in the process.
I am now trying to complete a model of a Clyde Puffer boat to use on my model railway but nit sure which glue to use with foamcore and Plastikard ?
Anyway love what you do and really enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing . Cheers

I have one suggestion try to keep the project in view of the camera other wise good vid. Also a good source for parts for greeblies are the Hasegawa Anzio Annie and Morser Karl these were the go to kits at ILM for small details. Also dont be afraid to cut up the greebly donor kits, I get 1/72 scale tank kits that are cheap cut the bodys up for plate detail or the vent areas and sand the excess plastic off the bottoms so the vents will sit flush with the surface detail. Each scratchbuild gets better!!

Build itself is fine but the painting needs mmm?..I watched a video were you can spray on to a straight edge in areas and it gives the sense of different panels?..and at same time adds different shades and contrasts to the ship if I could remember the guys name that made the vid sorry..but yeah keep at it I'm going to subscribe and hope to see you progress..but excellent start..cheers!!

Get a haircut, hippie..

And nice laminates. Somebody really cool must have made those. :)

And just for note, a tiny styrene DJ booth would be fun. Or a few sticks of tiny truss or a console or something.
