If you’re waiting for just a “refreshed” version of a laptop, then there’s no real point of waiting. But there’s a “generation” change once in a while. MacBook Pro 16 is a “generation” change worth waiting few more months for.

I'll keep waiting. I've been waiting for years, still using a mid 2012 MacBook Pro, because I've been waiting for a 15-16" MBP with more than USB-C ports. The terrible keyboards of the last generations, and now a little longer wait for the next gen Apple silicon MBPs has made the wait easier, and justified.

I agree man, my MacBook Pro 2014 was slowly dying, so I got a MacBook Air M1 to keep me going. So far, so good.
Technology is constantly changing, whatever you buy today, next month there will be something newer. At this rate, if you keep waiting, you'll never buy anything.

People can wait if they want the latest and greatest. It’s mid year and the next Macbook is just around the corner. I personally don’t buy the first entry in the new models. M1 is the first entry in the Apple Silicon line and I want the next gen.

With my eyes I can’t edit on a 13” laptop. I need a 16” minimum. I’d take a 16” M1 Mac laptop no problem but not the little one.

I have a budget for what I want to buy, for the specs that I'm looking for. I will wait to buy anything until it meets my price and feature point. The M1 laptops aren't there yet, so call me an idiot if you want, but it's my money, and my desired capabilities, so I will wait.

The thing is this time last year some poor souls went out and bought 13" intel macbooks when they should have waited. I don't want to make a mistake like that if a 14" is really coming.

I think if you're after an Air, just get it now. The product is in such a good place right now, and even if they do make improvements this year I reckon they'll be minor. Regarding the bigger MacBook Pros though - I actually do think waiting is a good idea specifically because we're so far into the current 16 inch Pro's life. In fact, I can't remember the last time a 15 inch + MacBook stayed on the same iteration for so long.

Exactly why I went ahead and ordered my 13 M1 MacBook Pro. I’ve been saving up for a year for the new design but I said screw it and ordered it. Couldn’t be happier with my M1 Pro. It’s truthfully faster than I need. Don’t wait. You can get either the M1 Air or Pro for a crazy price on Amazon!

2:05 Cap. Tell me, have you ever seen someone buy an iPhone when it’s 2 months from a new launch? I haven’t. It’s just, why wouldn’t you wait? Even if you wait for a new MacBook, an it’s trash or not a big improvement, you have the option of buying the older model for noticeably less. Not to mention that this is almost confirmed to be a big upgrade due to it being on their refresh schedule.

Why not wait for the m1x MacBooks? It’s like settling for a B on your Finals, when you can spend a few weeks studying casually every day to achieve an A or A+. Sure, you spend a lot of time studying, but you get such a big reward for doing so. Same thing for these MacBooks. You spend a few months waiting, and you’ll get a much faster, more modern, and just better in every aspect MacBook.
