Can i create a static site with vue and prismic? (without nuxt or gridsome) the problem is users need to wait for the ajax call to prismic servers in order to get the data, the wait is sometimes up to 4 seconds (and sometimes fails) it would be nice to pre-render or create static files.. I'm not sure if vuepress can do this?

Erik, you might want to check out Strapi also or Factor.
Both are open source projects to build headless CMS solutions.
