Onyx Boox Tab Ultra Review Update

Three updates to the Boox Tab Ultra review. And I'm happy to say, that this is the best e-ink tablet that you can currently buy!
Three updates from that, the Boox App store can be accessed through the quick launcher, so it is still there. And the tablet can display coloured pens, there is an option in the notes / options. There is a slight wobble when keyboard case is closed behind it

I recently bought the Onyx Boox Note Air 2 Plus, a device which i absolutely love. But i have found that as a company onyx is so focussed on just releasing the next device that they always have basic design or qc issues in their products. The issue with the magnet on the keyboard case with the tab ultra is such a basic qc issue that i feel how could this not have been addressed before such an expensive product was released to the market. Same thing i find with the cases for note air 2 plus. you cannot charge the device without opening the cover. its these little things with boox devices that get overlooked. Either they rush them through testing or they dont really test them by using them as an end user would. None of them are deal breakers but not what you want to see when you buy a $500-$600 device that you intend to use for a few years at the very least.

I want to understand how the Ultra compares with the SN5 from a writing/notes perspective.
The TOC, tags, star features in the SN5 seem very handy and useful.
Does the Ultra have similar capabilities?

Tonight was the first time I put Regal to the test overriding Ultrafast on the Twitter app. I have to say the difference is amazing with regards contrast and tone of pictures, definitely going to see how to use Regal in more apps.

Figured the magnets would be a problem as that's one of the biggest drawback with Wacom EMR. I think Boox could have come up with a better solution that didn't involve magnets or at least have them positioned in better spots. I wonder if this will affect the stylus accuracy long term..

What's a good way to TRY one of these ePaper readers, before buying? You go in any store and there are none on show, like phones or tablets, and for many of us it's a rare occasion to see one.

Do you have any experience with the tablet creaking around the edges if you pinch the edge or hold it by the edges? Mine has a noticeable creak at the top and just want to make sure my device is not falling apart lol.

That is a little bit sad, that Boox tab ultra has this wobble problem. It's a premium device, after all.
