It is great to see the church promoting the story of this great Saint a true model for the young, Catholic schools should teach their young pupils her life story of forgiveness and purity...Would love to visit Nettuno and visit the chapel as she is my confirmation saint.
I was inspired to stop at a second hand shop 20 years ago whilst travelling through a small Victorian town in Australia, it was meant to happen as I purchased a large framed picture of Maria the same image as the original holy cards printed in Italy, The picture would have originally come from Italy and I am now the proud owner as she is my confirmation Saint, she is one of my favourite Saints.

I was abused sexually as a very little girl, but didn't know what was happening to me. I have had flashbacks which is horrible, it has held me back in most things in my life, I'm now aged 74 and finally come to terms with what happened all those years ago. It took me 60 years to come to terms with what happened to me. I did not tell my parents or siblings. The man was a well respected church parishioner. Who would believe me, I only told two nieces last year. I went in hospital for a heart operation and left them a letter in case I did not make it. They were shocked. They wanted me to go to the police but I said I had forgiven this person. I sometimes get flashbacks and try to put them at the back of my mind. I try not to sin not because I'm scared of whet will happen to me when I pass on but because I love God+ .He suffered so much in his last hours, the pain must have been almost unbearable but he carried on because he loved us.
