This session provides an overview of events produced by multitouch devices, describes their behavior, and outlines reasons for some of the important design choices. It explains relationships among the events and their intended usage with different levels of multitouch support, demonstrated with concrete examples. The final part focuses on multiplatform applications, explains differences among platforms, and outlines solutions to several practical problems with writing an application that behaves well on different platforms with different input devices.
