I have worked in an International Airport in Canada. Most runways are equipped for belly landing . Which means landing without a nose gear on. Both pilots did an amazing job by dumping fuel for 2 hours which is a normal protocol, so the flight becomes less heavier in case of a belly landing. The flight has to reduce fuel even if there were no failures. The pilots are well trained to handle this scenario, but the passengers may not be aware. This is a safe procedure and very very well done to both pilots ! Safe flying ! Love you guys - YVC Airport
