Ronaldo's breakthrough season! In this season his end-product went up and he became the second best in the world after Kaka in the Ballon D'or rankings! He was a dribbling machine as well, soooo many dribbles this season. Speed, power, touch and control, what a dribbling season this was for him. Not even Ronaldinho completed as many dribbles as him this season. Was he the best dribbler in the world in 2006/07?

When he was at United, they criticized for showboating and dribbling, now they criticize him for being an efficient player, it's like Ronaldo can't win with some people.

3:25 Literally one of the most disgusting 1vs1 humiliation I've ever seen on a football pitch.

Despite being 6'2 Ronaldo doing all these dribbles in past, it's just so mesmerizing.

The way he dribbled with tricks and speed, it's like the ball was part of his body 🤩

07-08 season was his absolute best. Skills, goals, strength, speed, agility, headers, left+right foot. Manchester United had turned him into a beast. It is unfortunate what he is going through at the moment, the new kids nowadays never witnessed his true greatness, and people forget too quick who he was. This man birthed a new generation of footballers. He is a goat.

People have the right to choose their own GOAT but for me, Prime CR7 was the MOST COMPLETE player OF ALL TIME. There wasn't a single thing he couldn't do. Left foot, right foot, headers, insane freekicks, dribbling and skills, penalties, speed and acceleration, goalscoring machine, close range and long range, UNDERRATED passing/crossing ability (which was basically what he was doing his entire first 5 years in Man United as a midfielder), strength and physicality (stamina). He was completely unpredictable. GOAT

Imagine having Gareth Bale's pace down the wing, shooting like Ibrahimovic, Headers like Drogba, dribbling like Neymar and the finishing of Suarez at the age of 21.

As a long time United fan, Ronaldo’s era was the most exciting time to watch. 1996-2001 teams are probably more systematic and effective but there’s nothing more fun to watch Cristiano tore midfielders and defenders every week.

Manh i miss this Ronaldo so much! Red Manchester shirt, med tape on his wrist, white shoe, white taped stockings with full of dribbles and flashy moves 😍. Pure class!

That Zigzag Dribble at 3:25. My God! He was toying with the poor dude and it's unimaginable that he did this week in week out in the toughest and the best league then

I remember I was 13 years old watching euro 2004, back then, I was (still am) a huge classic football buff and I was fascinated with this brazilian player, Garrincha, a pure right winger in the golden era of football, that used to have a repetitive but devastating dribble, always reaching the touchline and crossing, the move looks simple, but not even the best ones of the time could stop him.
During the Portugal tournament, I started to notice this kid, shirt number 17 with blonde highlights wreaking havoc in the right side of the field, there was something about him, he possessed fancy step overs, had blistering pace and always seem willing to attack, seemingly unafraid to dare.
I noticed his signature dribble, a feint, beating opponents with pace and finally crossing or attempting to shoot, it was like if Garrincha spirit was alive again in this kid. Never passed back unless it was absolutely mandatory.
Since that tournament I knew I had seen someone special, someone that was going to get into the annals of the sport.
16 years later, that scrawny kid with the blonde highlights and huge piercings would become in my opinion, in the second most complete footballer the world has ever seen, only behind O rei Pelé.
People now recognize him as the super fit, record smashing, goal scoring machine that is the best keeper´s nightmare. But for me in the early 2000´s, who witnessed the madness this guy used to bring into the premier league, has become stampled in my head. For me, the last pure right winger, until his transformation. Thanks Legasus for bringing back the memories of the once greatest dribbler in the world. Great video.
