Considering defunded police, coronavirus restrictions, & riots, who in their right minds would live or have a business there??? 😳😥😱

So after stating that the safety is the issue at hand, they find a lady that say its about affordable housing? Even if it's cheaper, are people are going to move or stay with it unsafe? No.

Mpls residents, stay right where you are. The rest of Minnesota doesn’t want your social cancer to spread! You are surrounded and no escape! Stay inside!

This is my home. Watching it tear itself apart is hard. I'm not leaving, but I'm considering options for my own safety and that of my family.

I'm from Milwaukee and lived here for 4 yrs and then decided to move back to MKE and it is hard to hear and see this. Downtown MPLS was thriving like almost 2 yrs ago and was the place to be, just heart breaking to see this.

Glad I bought a house outside city limits. Too bad. South Minneapolis is/was a beautiful part of the city. Not down town, but close enough. Ruined by idiots.

As the lady considering more affordable housing would fix problem, imagine that will occur as anyone with a job will probably move out,

Downtown Mpls is just another urban grey-field now..It was marketed (by developers) as an urban utopia..Ooopps.

Anywhere in Minnesota. I realized what a terrible place to live 5 years ago. So glad I moved.

A few weeks ago some proud City Dwellers (understandably) told me that people weren’t moving out of Mpls. I guess they didn’t get the memo. Psssttt.... businesses are sadly leaving as well. And they’re taking the jobs with them. And the tax base:0

They need to separate the metro area from the rest of the state. They tax themselves and that is what they live on. They will just drag the out state area down the drain as well.

Good thing I left before all that kicked off. Good Luck to all those who stayed. Stay safe and protect yourself and your businesses while no one is there to save you.

If you do not have police to protect law there why you would live there.

the USA as a whole is paying the price for not providing social shock absorbers services.Too many milions don't have medical aid, insurance and retirement scheme. The capitalist society as the last centuring drive is coming to un end.Law brakers are 7% of any population in any country but over this % is a policy failure.People complain that Democrats will bring socialism but missing social security at all levels can be seen in Brazil where 2 cities were unsafe in the 80's now they ALL ARE.
There are periods (pandemic - economy depression ) when numbers get worst but social security makes these depressing periods longer with disastrous conseguence X everybody.
Even a bilion cops on the streets can not handle deprivation on a large scale.
Already the 1 milion souls in jails is a rigning bell since 2000.
