Funny you made a video about that because I stopped trading Gold also around 6 months ago. The volatility became to ridiculous with the US dollar. Best decision I made because sometimes I take a look at Gold out of curiosity and I’ll see massive wicks, for no reason … so happy I moved on.

I’m going back to trading currency pairs. I’m not being greedy for pips anymore. With gold moving more stop losses have to be bigger and more money is risked. I’ve been blowing a lot of prop accounts focusing on gold. Also with gold you have to trade smaller time frames like the 15 minute and 5 because your entries have to be more precise.

I don't think Gold is volatile at all... it moves lovely. Only on high risk news do you get the larger moves same as everything else. Depends on the strategy people are using i guess.

I trade gold asian and london session because of my timezone but it seems to be working really well i also find gold to be extremely choppy in newyork session

I still trade gold with my setup NY session only usually happen 2-6 setup per month consistently in very specific time range.. it helps me avoid risk exposure of crazy volatility.

I think with your trading style you benefit a lot from seasonality of GU in the fall and XAU during spring, summer

I only trade Gold in London and NY session. Going to give GU a go in London session tomorrow and Gold got NY and see how it works out

People in the UK are blessed with trading timing. I live in Canada and I have to get up really early. Trading around noon is blessed, trust me on this.

Wow god answered my prayers . I tried trading gold and omg it just wicks you out so many times before pushing . I trade Ucad in New York but needed a second pair so I was stuck between UJ, GU. I might stay with GU . I think it moves well during pre New York or New York .
