Don't forget to run converter from Compile Tools Applications tab or from Assets Manager ONCE. And never run it again because problems will happen. Also Converter tends to delete the material mtl_weapon_m4_m16 in cod4/raw/materials you can just re-copy it from the mod tools zip back to materials folder.

Maybe you should also say, that I'ts a good idea to give the modtools install of cod4 the read/write permissions for everyone. This avoids the bug that the player data is stored in an extra folder of the user (Win Vista and higher)
