I hate how artists are sometimes disrespected for their hard work by people using their artworks without approval and turning it into trends which encourages others to do the same too and often the original artist gets no CREDIT. Thanks for spreading awareness on this issue.

This is what happens in the trend: A person wearing a hello kitty costume gets bullied and then the audio plays and another person wearing a hello kitty costume appears on screen holding a gun, and sometimes there’s text on the screen that is supposed to be what the character is saying (even tho most of the time the characters mouth is closed) and it most of the time says “Shut up” or something like that. What I find bad about the trend is that, number 1, most people (I’m not saying everyone that has done the trend, some people do put TW) don’t put TW for the gun and sometimes the screen is shaking and there’s flashing lights and they don’t put TW for that either. Number 2, kids could be watching the video, and for young kids (I’m talking about ages 3-5) they might think this is ok to do what happens in the trend because they are still very young, but you may say that they don’t watch gacha videos, wrong, because gacha is still a kids game and kids are gonna be watching them, and they might get recommended it, or see someone watching the trend, and it will teach them to attack bullies instead of telling someone who is older than them like a teacher for example. Number 3, hello kitty is for all ages but is targeted towards children, and turning it into a trend that includes a person trying to kill someone that is saying that it’s for kids, isn’t really the best thing. Number 4, it’s just dumb and unnecessary, like why not just tell them that it’s for everyone and that you shouldn’t be bullying someone for wearing it, but no, you just made the character hold gun pointing towards the bully wich is basically making the character holding the gun threatening to kill them, wich is unnecessary, since the bully is bullying the other person for a silly reason. Sorry for wasting your time Flo, I just really wanted to tell someone about this trend, I hope you make a video about this, I would but I’m a small GachaTuber, so the information wouldn’t spread that quickly. I've been seeing this trend everywhere, but it shouldn't be one. The original artist Unknown Spy never wanted people to use it as a base, let alone it become a trend. But not only a lot of people use it anyways, many people don't even give credits at all. I made a video of this trend unaware of the fact that the base was being used without permission/I was commiting art theft, and others told me that even though unknownspy said that they didn't want people to use the base that I should keep the video up, but I've now realized my mistake and have taken down the video. I just hate the fact that people simply used the base without the artist's permission and glad I didn't join the trend. I don't rlly blame it on the ppl who join tbh. I saw that base on google before the trend starts. Luckily, I do not join the trend and realized that it's just art fucking theft. I feel bad for the original artist who got disrespected and had to deal with this bullshit. However, for those who did credit, I'm not mad at you- but credit does nothing so please don't use it as an excuse. You can do this trend as long as you do not use the base. You can redraw the base but NOT TRACING. You can use the base as a refrence and redraw it as your own, as long as it did not look the same.

it’s the way that there are literally free bases out there that people can use that are intended to be used as such. But people still want to steal others artwork and claim it’s a free base when they’re actually using it w/o the artist’s permission. Guys, all you have to do is look up free bases and give credit instead of just tracing someone’s art w/o their permission!!
