Lebanon PA, 11.10.2017: Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery opened in 1976. Around 50,000 veterans are buried on this 677 acre site. Flags that draped across the caskets are often donated by veteran's families, and volunteers are constantly replacing faded or torn flags. Each flag is 5' x 9'6". There are 525 casket flags waving on 20' high poles placed 40' apart. All 50 state flags fly in front of the Administration building, and all six branches are represented by a flag too. Flags fly from just before Memorial day through Veteran's Day in November.

Also on the grounds is the largest VA National Cemetery monument, which stands 107' high and 360' long. Dedicated 10.7.2001, sponsors included veterans, Major Charles and Eva Hawkins, and the State of Pennsylvania.

Thank You for creating your lovely video and sharing it with us. My mum n dad are there and also being a vet,  I have it in my will that both my wife and I will also be there one day. Sadly my lovely wife has a head start on getting there since she lost her/our battle with ovarian cancer just 14 months

The Avenue of the Falgs is wonderful. And thanks to your video I now know the avenue is even longer and more spectacular.  In the past I visited FITGNC and brought my SegWay with me so I could better enjoy the drive thru all the flags on the way to my parents gravesite. Seems now that it is evn longer I better make a plan to visit on the SegWay again some sunny day this spring.

Thank you again,
