Absolutly loving the switch from sram Apex 1x11 to this set up. Was worried that with the road wheelset, the gaps would be too big, but no issues on a couple of rides so far on a couple of good road rides. Can't wait for the underbiking rides with the mtn. Wheelset.

Wow 10 to 51 that's a good range. Do you feel that there's any large gaps in between any of the individual gears?

The shifters are damn expensive. Got my rival etap including brake calipers and hoses for 290€ new

I've got a big 51 tooth chainring on my mtb I've never used it the extreme incline you'd have to have to need it I'd be more concerned about flipping over backwards tbh. The new 12 speed GRX groups are amazing i have the 2x12 on my gravel bike it's unbelievably slick.

Interested to see after cable stretch and some mud, if the shifting stays clean or if you are micro adjusting more often. Some of the chinese groupsets with 12 speed mechanical have struggled a bit.

what wheelset youre using? is it a microspline?

Can you give a hint how you determine optimal chainlength? I spotted that on the smallest gear the cage is almost horizontal?

Could a mullet groupset be made using GRX 11 sp levers with that RD and an 11 speed Shimano MTB cassette?

I see I'm not the only one with the stupid cable insertion angle on the rear grx rear derailleur! Really bad design! There is also way too much free play in the downshift lever!

Good, but in reality, if you need gear 51, your cadence is probably only around 60 rpm.
