Rappelling 200 ft. Down Into a Well-Preserved Abandoned Mine - Warrior & Armada Mines Part 1 of 3

This three part series features not one, but two mines; interconnected by miles of tunnels. This video features the 200 Level of the mine. These mines were discovered in the 1800's and were worked for decades before being abandoned in the early 1900's. There is evidence showing that the mines may have been worked as recently as the 1950's. These mines produced manganese, lead, and silver as their primary commodities. The ore in the mines was some of the most interesting I have ever seen. There are dozens of examples of this site's unique geology throughout the video. These mines also proved to be full of artifacts and equipment, the highlight being a small pneumatic hoist!

Please tune in next week to see part 2 where we continue our exploration of the very extensive 300 Level!

@21:05 that top notice below your thumb is the first date the court doc. was published on, Feb 21 1920, and what we are reading is the SECOUND notice from the court. So the news paper is from Feb. Mar. Apr. 1920. There are a lot of mine videos out there...But You guys are the tops we think. Thank You for your time to do this. Thank You. ✌🍻

I have explored dozens of abandoned mines just outside of Denver off I-70...one we walked for 25 minutes and the tunnel kept going and going...had a blast

Thank you for the photo of the dynamite instruction sheet at 16:39. I was able to see the "rev 1-56" (revision) date in the lower right. (January 1956) I mentioned this to you a few months ago, and I'm glad you got a snapshot of it.
It helps put things in perspective when we have dates like that. 👍

11:09 I believe that is some type of cleaning agent or corn starch, the company Caled was out of Brentwood Maryland. The can at 9:48 looks like an old fuel can my grandpa used to have several just like those on the farm, they could have used them for oil as well.

Crazy how much the light is absorbed by the rocks. Vid quality really did improve too. I like the still photos added in, good job. What stabilizer did you go with? Pics of your rigging would be cool.

Beautiful mine and fantastic video and photos. I love the map showing the levels, I could almost see the hill side.

Apache Powder Company still exists as Apache Nitrogen Products. South of Benson, closer to rural St David, it was established in 1920.

Hi, from what I can work out I think the Caled can was for some sort of cleaning. A very extensive mine with some cool miners graffiti. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 🙏💖

It's amazing, Just some timber false floor in a mine with tracks going through it and dopamine is filling my brain! What is it about timber, oar chutes and stulls that pulls you in?

Wow what a colorful mine. Thanks for taking us along! Have you ever thought about selling your photos? I'd love to hang a few in my man cave.

The first mine that I worked in back in sixty-five had threaded pipe like this mine. Talk about a time-consuming pain in the ass to put together and hang, the threads were always giving us problems. We always tried to keep couplings on both ends to protect the threads when not in use or transporting them.
