It's wild that the Bank of England and others still use the DICE model to think about climate impacts. Just delusion. Thanks for the great talk.

It is easy for Nicholas Stern to point the finger at his profession, and by now, it is only minimal decency and intellectual honesty.
But he was directly responsible for adopting the 2C warming scenarios that retarded, for years, the embrace of the 1.5C limit that the most vulnerable countries had been long demanding, and that science has since confirmed.
Ergo: there is NO other way to characterize his 2006 report than as outright INCOMPETENT, if not indeed CULPABLE of helping to uphold the 2C agenda that top polluting countries have long been pursuing. The problem is that climate change kills. It destroys habitats (vast swaths of "real estate, " to put it in terms an economist or Donald Trump can understand). It obliterates the world's wonders. And he knew this. That makes him a partner in the crime. You are responsible for the consequences of your assumptions.
If you cannot prosecute him, them FIRE HIM, and if you cannot fire him, DISCREDIT HIM. If Princeton doesnt do it, it is part of the problem, indeed complicit in the death and destruction that will ensue for every year that we retard public awareness. Responsibility is a very simple concept, and a key to the solution of climate ignorance and climate change ensuing from the resulting inaction. You have the freedom to carry a gun, but you are responsible for the crimes you comit with it. The same goes for freedom of speech: we are all henceforth responsible for our utterances on climate change.
Enough blah blah blah dressed up as refined economic analysis.
