The Magic of Hawthorn: Edible & Medicinal Benefits, Weird Facts & Folklore + 2 Healing Recipes
Показать описание
Why is Hawthorn such an important medicinal tree? Why were it’s flowers banished from English homes? Why and how does it smell like both sex and of decomposing bodies?!!
Come learn about the magical powers of our native Hawthorn, Crataegus Monogyna, an interesting tree steeped in folklore and superstition! After learning a few key identification features, we’ll discuss both the edible and medicinal uses and I’ll be showing you how to make an infused hawthorn flower brandy tincture to help protect the heart, and a healing hawthorn and ginger syrup to help aid digestion too!
Please remember to never eat any wild food, be it plant, fruit or fungi, unless you are 100% certain of its identity and always cross check your resources. Always do research before taking herbs internally, especially if you are pregnant, have severe allergies or a weakened immune system. Finally, remember to take only what you need from places of abundance, and always leave plenty for the wildlife too.
If you’d like to follow along for more foraging and forest garden content, you can join me over on;
Thanks for watching!
