Hello from Dorset, UK. A massive thank you for pointing me to Geshelli. I managed to pick up a JNOG DAC on eBay. It has blown me away. It has replaced my Ta-zh1es DAC in my system. The soundstage is phenomenal. Love the channel!

I bought the Geshelli J2 (AKM) version after learning about the company from your channel. I splurged on the USB connection & wood case! It arrived just as I was in the process of sending my Bifrost2 in for warranty work (it powers on but no longer sound output via either USB, coax, or optical inputs). It just stopped working about a week ago. I have been using the Bifrost2 for about a year when it stopped making any sound. It is supposed to arrive back at Schiit Audio (Calif location) today.

So far, I like the AKM version of the J2 and look forward to getting my Bifrost2 back so I can do some comparisons between the two DACs. I am waiting on more reviews of the upgraded Bifrost 2/64 before making any decision on upgrading my current Bifrost2.

I recently found your channel. Thank you for teaching this newbie about HiFi speakers. I’m bummed I missed the stream.

@john boison. You asked about the Amp Camp Amp. I have been running a pair in bridged mono. They are fantastic. Unless you are driving very small speakers and listen nearfield build 2 of them.

The bass handling running 2 amps in mono is much much better.

These were my first ever DIY build and I had never soldered before. Definitely doable.

You will be blowed away with my dollar general case for the duo 3255 amplifier. Amazon has all parts except wood, rubbermaid shelving @ home depot or lowes and free cutting screw and glue on kitchen table. Got 50 years of ideas that work. Might start channel, done a few systems since 1971. My subs duo 18 dayton paper in diy 3.74 cuft ...lol love yall
Having fun may build pre amplifier with good dac. I can lift twice my weight, diabetic 55yr, open heart, not quitting til death shows up
Drinking death wish coffee and dreaming of graphene magnaplainer that the diaphragm is magnetic, plainer and make 20hz bass. Sssh don't tell, cell phones will have lower frequency response .

Love the channel Randy, good info, entertaining delivery. My office system is a Lepai 2020A (the original one) powering a classic set of Realistic Minimus 7’s. Now here’s the fun part; input is all BT using a Shure BT receiver going thru a passive preamp to the Lepai. Speakers are in bookcases about 6 inches from the back wall, and I gotta tell you, this system sounds amazing. I think the secret sauce here is the passive preamp, a “SoundShocker Pro” that I used to have in my Toyota taco (but that’s another story. Could you do a review of the SoundShocker please please? The thing is pure magic and the essence of cheap but good audio from my perspective, but would love your expert/unbiased take.

Loving you all the way from the Ukraine cheap AudioMan! Why are u so cheap? Lmao 🤣. Am cheap as a doggy, I use 7 Macintosh XL100’s speakers for a 7.0.6 system. I use 6 Wharfedale Elysian 4 for the height channels

@CheapAudioMan - would love to see you review the Starkrimsin Mononlock Amps. Maybe a comparison to the LA90 since those are somewhat marketed to be Monoblock also.

I have an Emotiva TA 1, Bluesound Node (use the 2 different DACs for a change in sound). My room is a 12X13 normal room with harder walls (no drapes allied in the apartment). I listen to drummer solos from Kruppa/Rich to Peart, rock (Led Zeppelin, etc.) vocals, Wagner Opera (love the brass), boogie woogie (piano), & Dixieland Jazz mostly. I like full slightly warm and slightly forward vocals, imaging, layering and soundstage in that order of preference. I am looking for a stand speaker pair recommendation. I would like a good value for approx $600 a pair or less. But can go higher if the value is there. I will be adding a DAC to fine tune the sound after I have the speakers which is why I would prefer the speaker price $600 or under to afford the DAC sooner.

Ancient audiophile , took your tpa3255 love to 2 monoblocks @8ohm fan top boards 38v. About to try GRS new planer tweeters, passive xover. I know you like cheap, but poverty is what my buddy's needs are and junk abounds. I have history

What's a good dac/streamer/eq that has a balanced output such as XLR or quarter inch TRS??

Hey Randy, sorry i missed the live stream. I have a kind of long post so if you read all of it that would be great. I am starting from scratch and I have been trying to plan a set up from watching reviews on your channel. All of my music is currently on my iMac (mp3) and I am starting to get FLAC files to play higher quality. (From Northern Ireland BTW, there isn't a shop where I can go listen to things sadly.) I was thinking of getting the Fluance RT85 turntable and connect that to the Denon PMA600NE and then connect that to Wharfedale 12.2 speakers. My room is only like 12 foot by 10 foot. I was also wanting to get the Hifiman Edition XS for when the wife and baby are asleep. I asked and a very helpful guy on reddit said that I need a converter to connect my iMac to an amp, like a usb to spdif cable? I have seen a few on amazon and that bit seems okay but he also said that the Denon wouldn't be great for the Headphones and that I would be better getting a separate amp for them. So after all that waffling I was wondering what you recommend for this? Or is there a better Amp that would be good for all of what I am looking? I am a complete beginner as the last time I owned a record player was when I was a kid and I got the Do the Bartman record. Cheers for any help. (I forgot to say that I like all types of music from The Beatles to Slipknot or Devin Townsend)
