Improves Horsepower. The K&N "Fuel Injection Performance Kit" (FIPK for short) Cold Air Intake kit completely replaces your stock 2005-2009 GT Mustangs restrictive stock factory air box and paper filter with a high flow K&N filter assembly and intake tube for a noticeable increase in horsepower and acceleration while still providing excellent filtration.

Filters out harmful contaminants. The supplied K&N Filter successfully filter's out harmful contaminants with it's unique layered design. K&N Air Filters are made up of layers of specially treated cotton gauze that are sandwiched between two epoxy-coated aluminum wire screens for durability. K&N uses a specially formulated grade of oil to treat the cotton gauze layers which causes a tackiness throughout the cotton's microscopic strands creating a powerful filtering media that ensures engine protection.

CARB Certified. Best of all this K&N Mustang FIPK Air Intake Kit is 50-state smog legal under Carb EO# D-269-34 for the 2005 to 2006 GT models, 2007 to 2009 pending approval.

Straight Forward Installation. Installing the K&N Air Intake Kit on a 2005-2009 GT is simple and straight forward using commonly available basic hand tools, with no extra modifications or computer retuning required for proper installation.

We've tested this intake without a tune and we have seen 8-10rwhp. We did notice that everyone wants to see the results of the intake alone so we'll make sure we'll keep that in mind in the future. -Shane

I got this last Christmas without the tune. There is surprisingly a slight noticeable difference after a put in the new intake. What they don't mention in the video is that it also gave my exhaust a lower pitch which was really more noticeable then the actual horsepower gain.

I have a k&n intake on my truck. Had it on there since it was practically brand new back in 2004 and I still have it on there. No codes, no MAF screw ups, and it's still holding up great. I would of liked to of seen what the car put down without the tune. I think 70% of the gain was from the tune

this is an example of american muscle videos; "well we just installed these quarter window louvers and now we are going to put it on the dyno jet to see our HP numbers but first we need to install this tuner. VROOM WOW 30 HP and TQ gained from just a set of louvers and a small tune

you are comparing stock vs CAI with remapped program, I would be interested to see the stock vs with CAI on stock map alone, this wise the comparison is not biased.

I like how they added the electric tune tool with the K&N dyno test?I doubt there's much restriction on a newer Mustang GT intake.I think the stock would be free flowing!!!These parts make a bigger difference in like older cars such as a 1994 Mustang GT.It hard to beat the current stock stuff!!!

Yet another video that you do not show the gains from the Cold Air Intake by its self. I know its not much...but would like to see a number....COME ON

hey just a thought here from a technician (ford/volvo) i have never once seen a aftermarket intake produce any noticeable gains buy itself to justify the price you spend on them. they main flow at a higher CFM than the OEM piece but AM and most of the manufactures of said intakes dyno the vehicle with the hood open, so that big filter now has access to much more air than if the hood was closed, but you dont drive 80 mph down the highway with the hood open, which i my opinion makes test invalid

It is a good intake for a stock (bone stock that is) Mustang, however with changing the throttle body to a larger version like the BBK twin 62mm... the intake will come loose in colder weather because of the rubber belt seal used between the throttle body and intake pipe.. if the belt sleeve was about 3/4 to an inch longer it would work better... but for HP gains.. I went with a ram air hood and FR cold air kit into the FR intake manifold... with other mods.. I put down 324 RWHP at my best run.

what mods do you have? auto or manual also? i would love to know what because we have a modified mustang gt and have never dyno'd it.

Hello, i have this intake without a tune on my 06 gtand i see it gets between 8-10 extra hp. I also got the catback exhaust from flowmaster. How much more hp do you think that adds?

no a 3V ford modular motor does have variable cam, obviously its not independent because there is only one cam per bank

Id like to see what the tune can do on 87 fuel… i mean its only 5 more ponies on 93… thats not worth spending an extra $1 per gallon on gas

Before buying the intake I was notified that I wouldn't require a tune. It turns out to be that you do if not your car won't start.

pretty sure most ofthat power was made by giving it 1-2 more degree of timing at the top ol

if you are looking for some real good gains for not a whole lot of money, a real good calibration like bama a few others out there offer is the best way to go. or you could start playing with your ring and pinion ratio,
