When you were a kid you couldn't understand why the dad wouldn't want Beethoven, but now that that you are an adult you understand perfectly.

Please appreciate these moments with your St. Bernards. My big girl passed away when she was 10 and I was 16. I grew up with her and many happy childhood memories are associated with her. I remember little kids shouting "Look, Beethoven!" all the time they saw my dog - they loved her almost as much as I do.
Now I'm 26. Pain and sorrow are still with me, deep down in my soul. But I'm happy that she was part of my life.

It doesn't matter how mischievous dogs can be, it's the nature and the temperament that counts. I can tell Beethoven is a fun, loving, friendly, loyal, caring and protective dog.

2:48-2:49: "YOU!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣, Charles's way of saying that gets me laughing each time 🤣🤣🤣🤣. RIP, Mr Grodin (1935-2021). Thanks for the childhood laughs as George in the first two Beethoven movies (1992-1993).

This movie perfectly portrays how it's like for a family that's never owned a dog before to try and take care of a dog.

What a wonderful loving family Beethoven found. They had so many great memories with him when he was he growing up in the Neuton's house. He loves them all including George. George is his human dad after all. Haha!!

Фильм на все времена. Добрый, лёгкий, семейный. Светлая память Чарльзу Гродину, очень хороший актер.

Rest In Peace, Charles, I’m sure some of the Beethoven dogs are happy to see you again in Heaven, and giving you a big, slobbery kiss

When you’re a kid, you root for the dog; when you’re an adult, you understand the father 🤣....

RIP Charles Grodin. I hope to see you in the next life.

The reason the first two movies were so successful was because they were just as much about the family as Beethoven himself, especially the dad, George, who goes from a controlling and distant parental figure to a more grounded, emotionally open father who appreciates his family. I love these movies.
