Oh look, a company leader that profits from people returning to the office is saying people should return to

He's 1000 percent wrong, and knows NOTHING about what the workers want! He can't speak for workers because he's one of THEM, meaning, he's on the other-side of the coin. We do not EVER want a 5 day work in office environment again, if our Job does not need it in order to be completed.
INFACT, that is a deal breaker for me with any Company that wishes to bring me aboard. If there is no flexibility or a Hybrid schedule option, I would not accept the offer. The majority of us feel this way. Not All, but most. The CEO who's talking is completely Clueless to what WE WANT. But he is completely accurate to what THEY WANT. It's not the same thing.

Already see the bifurcation in my office. The employees working from home become invisible and will generally not get the advancement opportunities that those coming in will.

Totally out of touch. Most companies are re-casting their January return to office (not “return to work” btw). It’s an employee’s market. If your company is hell bent on making you return to a cubicle in the middle of a pandemic to have video calls with people in other cubicles, it’s time to find a company that is embracing this new way of working rather than stomping their feet like toddlers to return to the office.

I doubt it. Most employer can't find the talent they fired doing the shut-down. Much less get them back into the office.

'New York traffic as bad as it's been is a great sign' - what losers we have as CEOs of this country. No out of the box thinking. Sorry not coming back to the concrete jungles by wasting time in traffic, wasting money on gas/food and also missing out on my family! Thank goodness, my employer isn't one of these NYC companies where employees return like sheep.

Being a mid level manager, I miss having the control over my subordinates. Cannot immediately give orders to see them jump. It is now Microsoft Team chats mostly now. DMs. Cannot wait till we get all the people back to the office and have business as usual. Kind of love being in and miss the office politics too. Love my job and not being in the office takes some of the joys of being a manager.
