皆様こんにちは!🌸 Welcome back to the channel, we're back with another language video in 2024. My mandarin is a lot stronger than my Japanese, so this was a bit of a struggle but tons of fun to film nonetheless. Please make sure to subscribe and hit that like (it helps me out tremendously)!

こんにちは!みゆです!I’m Japanese and grew up in NY and London until I was 13! I’ve watched a few of your reels but I think this is the first full-length video of yours I’m watching! Your Japanese is so good! I didn’t know you spoke it! It’s been 10 years since I moved back to Japan, and don’t really have any opportunities to speak in English, so my speaking skills are almost gone🥲 Maybe I will try speaking more with my sister at home, I really want to gain back confidence with my English! I love this video so much! It’s made me feel a lot closer to you! Will definitely keep following you! これからも動画楽しみにしてます!

omg your Japanese is literally ADORABLE and you’re actually quite fluent in it 😳😳 I’m a Japanese who grew up in San Jose and lived in Seattle till a few months ago, so I’m seeing a lot of similarities with you 🥰 keep up the good work with your Japanese!

I feel like Miki's personality changes a little bit when she speaks Japanese. She feels a lot less confident and more timid but this could just be my interpretation due to language culture differences.

This was so much fun to watch !! I studied Japanese in school but kind of dropped off after uni so my speaking/reading aren't that great anymore 😭

But my strength is listening so I decided to zoom in slightly for this video while you talked so I could avoid the subtitles and test my listening and I was pleasantly surprised I understood at least 85% HEHEH

Thanks for the fun video girl ! Imma try and get back into my Japanese again 🥹

I’m Japanese and I’ve been watching your videos for more than 10 years! I’ve never knew you spoke Japanese until recently. Your Japanese is already good but I’m really inspired by you trying to learn it more!

Love this & love your videos about your work as a nurse! I lived outside of Hiroshima for 2 years while in the Marines and loved. I regret I didn’t learn a lot of the language or do more site seeing while there. I picked up a bit but pretty basic but the people & culture are beautiful. Hope one day to go back with family my husband also served in Japan but on Okinawa

Great work, Miki! I am from Tokyo and I spent some of my childhood years in SF Bay Area so I feel like our lives are very similar but reversed lol
And now I am moving to Oahu in a few years :)

Keeping up with the language is hard but it’s good to have friends who can be your language partner!
It would be great if you could share how you keep up with Japanese and Chinese!

I chuckled when I saw the must-learn phrases in Japanese. I’ve been trying to learn how to say “where’s the toilet” in as many languages (Taiwanese, Hakka, Cantonese, Japanese, Bahasa etc) as possible but then I realised it will be useless if I don’t understand basic directions like left/ right/ go straight 😂 I might just be mistaken as a local and I’ll need to learn a second sentence- “that’s the only thing I know how to speak in language!”

Or should I ask people to show me where the toilet is instead of asking where the toilet is 😂

The fact that parents chose Miki for your name is something cute!

Long story でも普通に喋れるやん!
I’m impressed by your Japanese! Though your word choice and rising intonation does remind me a bit of the Japanese elementary school girls I used to teach in my old job haha😂

Hello I liked your vlog !
1:23 It’s not important at all but 22分is 22ふん not ぷん だよonly because you asked I pointed out 🫶
7:28 homebody is probably 日本語でyou can say インドア派(インドアは) ! 私はインドア派だから〜〜 みたいに。

I’m Japanese and I like to watch YouTube videos for my English practice.! My husband speaks English but we’re living in Japan so for me vlogs are good way to learn daily use of the language and subtle entertainments :)
Thanks for uploading videos and I hope we (people who learn different languages) can help each other :):)✨

日本語の動画を作ってくれて、ありがとう!!Your Japanese is mostly natural and hard to find a mistake 🤩 like you said 養子(ようし)is a little bit formal, I’ll probably say リリを家族として迎(む)えることになった(we decided to have her as our family)🤔

Hello Miki!
Great seeing you at Uwajimaya today—it was such an exciting moment for me! Been a subscriber for years, and meeting you in person was awesome! Sorry if I interrupted your private time; I felt sorry asking for photos actually (but I’m so crazy unbelievable and happy)😂, also you're even cuter and prettier in real life! Anyway, it was super nice meeting you, and thanks to Kevin for taking photos with me as well! He's handsome! 🤩🎉🎉( hope you can see this comment🥹 I’ve watched your videos for so long but Ive never leave comment before🤣
