Just hearing you say “hustle culture” makes me exhausted!!! I was never built for that, I love continuously evolving and following what lights me up💖🥰 Love the sage break, very grounding!!

Good video. Enjoyed it. I retired early and I can tell you that never once did my job define me. They worked me long hours for free, but when I went home, work stayed at work. They sound like they want a permanent underclass. They want you to be defined by the job because then you are theirs. I’m loving retirement. It’s a whole different world!

This is so timely as companies are already shifting to AI and laying off those folks who have defined themselves by their jobs.

Great message that everyone needs to hear.

Look at it as staying ‘relevant’. I just did a live on that suggest - I’m new like you (we’re actually twinning lol) and it didn’t quite come out right.

I can tell you that as an introvert, retiring from a tough 32 year career, has been freeing. The rat race can shorten your life's quality. I can see how an extrovert's has a tough time from letting go from being embedded into society.

I love this video and I thank you for it. I worked for 31 years at the same company and it felt soul sucking but that's because I'm a creative and I felt like I was betraying myself. I was making money and contributing to the family etc. however my job did not define me yet when I quit I went through a big depression because I didn't know what my purpose in life was and what was next. Then I finally decided to share my life here on YT, I wanted to share with others how I find my joy as I live my days. My videos are just about living and it has not resonated with a ton of people however I'm having so much fun and I feel way more ME than I did when I worked for 31 years at the same company.

My dad is like Kevin O'Leary, he still drives to work at age 83 and I'm certain if he wasn't working every day at the company he created and built....he wouldn't feel a purpose in life. We are all so different so glad you also recognize that. I always find such wisdom in your videos.

P.S. I love your fresh cut roses in the jar behind you.
