_"I don't get why more people aren't annoyed about [the PT-76's removal]."_ – I think people *are* annoyed about this, but it's not the first time this happens, so it's kinda business as usual. Plus, it's one of the less-played tech trees, i.e. less people care. And, lastly, in the larger picture it just doesn't impact players to the same degree the economy stuff does.

it makes me sad when prototype and random other vehicles are removed and never allowed to be obtained by new players

Why would they remove the PT-76 in the Chinese tech tree? Even if China themselves didn't use it, literally just swap out the flag with North Vietnam. We already have that on the anti-aircraft T-34. In fact, China also didn't use the 76mm T-34, so the same thing could be done there.

Between China, Korea (already have the Shenyang F-5), and Vietnam, you could justify a few MORE vehicles for this tech tree instead of simply removing one for no good reason.

I actually returned to the game after a 4 month break when you brought this up the first time to grind grinded out the CN PT-76.
I'm so happy they are finally making the radiator matter at least a tiny bit.

I want to be able to test drive ANY vehicle in the tree regardless of where I am in relation to it in the tree.

You don't have to grind and buy that PT-76 right now, before it disappears. You just have to put couple of research points on it and it will stay visible after the removal. You will be able to research it at a later time. It was the same thing with Maus.

In the Naval, I hope that doesn’t affect when a player is flying a catapult seaplane to capture and you let your cruiser be able to defend itself. I do that a lot, the AI doesn’t really do that much damage with the main guns, but it keep the enemies heads down.

Regarding the PT-76, no. Veteran players are not at an advantage by having the PT-76, in fact they'd be handicapping themselves by using it.

Sure, I don't like seeing vehicles removed in general, but why bring up a stink over this? It is a pre-buff PT-76... the vehicle deemed to be the worst in the game at the time so much so that Gaijin had to swap it for the modernized B variant in the USSR tree.

I can understand as a collector being upset about not getting it, but to start a riot over it? No, it's not a vehicle that's worth the hassle

Very happy to hear about the effort to curb botting in naval. I expect this will significantly drop their numbers.

I want a separate shop for unobtainable vehicles, like old event ones, Maus and even the french awful reserves.
That way they're segregated in a way that won't affect the tree, and you can limit and condition when and how you can access this shop

The "AI NO longer controls the main guns" is already implemented on "bluewater" ships! Just saying...
Tough I started seeing bots in air RB (bombing a base, keeps flying, and gets shot down by AF AA), and still a lot in Heli PvE!

To me this is a PERFECT example of why they should bring back the warbond Mystery Box! Just think they could put all those pulled vehicles in a mystery box at say lvl 100 so that those who are willing to grind for it can have a chance of getting one of these vehicles added to their line up. Hell I know I'd grind this garbage Battle pass just to get a shot at the old Gladiator F and Ki-10C that I missed back in the day.

And there are even more significant QoL changes for naval. I strongly recommend anyone who plays naval seriously to check out the changelogs and datamines for themselves.

I really hope they consider the batch reloads on caps for ground vehicles as well, at the very least for SPAAs and things with autocannons

Happy to hear about the radiator damage, finally it won't be totally meaningless to shoot a Russian tank. No we just need fuel tanks to stop acting like impenetrable armour.

its great to hear that the UK is not getting the T-90s, russia should be getting it, export variants should go to the orginal tree just like the export abrams aims for austrailia that is in us tree. they should instead of giving the t-90s be actually fixing the challys as they have been nerfed to shit.

Maybe because it’s a shit tank that no one’s cares about, and new players also don’t care if it’s gone.

I’m not mad about the PT bc I remember how god awful it was when I hit it in the tech tree. I literally stopped playing China bc I got stuck on the PT. and even when I came back and finally spaded it, it wasn’t rewarding. I think that a reliable filler round such as the ones the 211 will have are WAY better than the unreliable heatfs and all the other terrible rounds that the pt has. aka way more beginner friendly

Regarding the PT-76 Chinese version, it was already a hated vehicle because it was the same as the Russian PT-76, but worse since it lacked stabilizer and it had survivability issues, mediocre handling and turret rotation + the poor performance of stock rounds until you got the HEAT one, which is still not great (even if pen was 200mm on paper). Because of this, many people will not see it's removal as an issue since it's 1 less vehicle that was difficult to grind and was around 5.0, being forced to bring it up to 5.3 and facing a lot of heavy tanks. I just think TEC talks from the perspective of the Russian PT-76 in this video rather than the Chinese one, which is slighty better because it has that stabilized gun.

I've heard the Obj.211 will replace it and is stated to be worse compared to PT-76 - but I see a bonus in 211 with the 85mm APHEBC round which is pretty similar to T-34-85 one and for flanking gameplay it will one-shoot even Tigers, overperforming the HEAT round in this regard, it's also capable to pen frontal plates of heavy tanks if it's aimed properly without any major issues. From my point of view, stock it will be way better than the experience with the 76mm APCR round of PT-76. Perhaps if Obj.211 goes down in BR, will allow for a new potent line-up for China, but unfortunately they lack vehicles around 4.3-4.7 to have another potent line-up under the 5.3-5.7 area.
