Getting an Apostille in the USA for use in the Philippines | formerly red ribbon or consularize

This video showing you the process I underwent to have documents notarized and then apostilled by the secretary of state (MA). It is going to be used in the Philippines.

There is a backlog of appointment at the New York Philippine Consulate General, so I'm unable to get any reservation for the next 30 days.

The Philippines since May 2019, have acceded to the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 (Apostille) and therefore certain documents can now be sent to the Secretary of State and affixed an Apostille Certificate instead of going to the consulate.

The cost for the whole process:
Notary: varies; free as a bank customer.
Apostille certificate: $6.00 (as of 2020, in Massachusetts USA) PER document (regardless of no of pages.)

Update lang guys: Binigay na sa akin yung copy ko na apostilled CTBS galing Pinas. I also got to use my Apostilled SPA as well. It was flawless so I'm happy.

Hello po. Thanks for the informative video. I have some questions po:
1. What do you mean by loose page notary? Ano pong itsura nun? And why do I need that?
2. What do you mean po sa huwag ipa- notarize ang last page ng contract. Ano po ba yung last page? Why do I need to skip notarizing it in the US?
3. Paano po ba nila nalalaman yung authenticity ng pirma? Do they ask for IDs of all signatories and compare their signature from there? Or do they pull signatories' public record?

Meron po kasi akong 2 documents: a SPA and a DOAS. They were notarized po sa UPS store in chicago pero gusto kong ipa-apostle. Hindi ako sure what to prepare myself for. Thank you po in advance.

Hello Sir, my itatanong lang po, yong SPA na binigay ko sa anak ko last yr sa pinas, i mean umuwi ako sa atin at doon ko na pinagawa yong SPA nga para, magamit niya but a couple of days ago, yong realtor agent told me na his SPA needs to be Apostille here in the US, and sabi pa niya na i only need the copy of the SPA nga hinawakan nang ako to Apostille. Hope you can share me your thoughts/ advice on this. Thank you

Sir, i would like to asked you because the last time that i have the SPA in the Philippines is 2008 but now it was replaced by this apostille certificate back then the process that i went through was different scenario. I would like to appoint an SPA again in the Philippines in my behalf to deal with BIR, Tax Declaration and To deal with Chinabank Savings who is giving me a hard time with a transfer of title. My question is do i need to draft a document of SPA and specify what my SPA will performed in behalf of me? I am just kinda lost or do i need my cousin (My SPA) to send me the document first and she will signed it and then send it to me so that I can have it notarized before i bring it to the Sec of State? Hello po sir, may aunty po akong US citizen, she passed away last year, may dala po syang notarial last will and testament from US dated April 2012 para gamitin for her properties dto sa Pinas, wala pong any apostille na naka indicate from US, I don't know po if it is still valid po without apostille, and if not, may chance pa po ba itong makakuha ng apostille cert kahit wla na po ang may ari ng last will and testament documents?
