Playing drumset for this part and I love it. I love songs that just have a simple swing the whole way through because there is so much fill potential. For example when the saxes have the “Dut Dut Dah Dah Dut” I play that back on the bell of the ride. Simple things like that are why I love jazz. You have sheet music but that’s just a suggestion you play what’s on the sheet music as an underlying beat but then you make your own fills to make it your own.
