You don’t deserve leniency when you have a criminal record a mile long. And you don’t help your case by tackling the judge. That just proves why he should be locked up.

His sister saying he should be a free man is exactly what's going with with this society I'm so scared for my 10 year old daughter growing up in this sick country

That is a very dangerous man. He's going to kill someone if he isn't locked up for life.

He shown his true colors when he didn't get his way. I hope he gets decades behind bars. The family is disgusting for Defending his actions.

His family should be apologizing on his behalf NOT making excuses. Up to 4 years is NOT ENOUGH!!!

Well family…if that’s his reaction to being “triggered “, he doesn’t belong in society. Thanks for clearing that up for us.

She's very lucky that other guy reacted so fast sitting next to her, or she would've definitely got way more hurt.

You know it doesn't matter if you have mental illness. The second you put your hands-on an official or a judge. You kind of just lost your privileges.

@2:10 I'm so damn sick of the word "triggered". It's just a way of denying responsibility for one's own actions.

No one’s ever said no, this guy is dangerous, shouldn’t be allowed out of prison, a whole life sentence

The absolute restraint on this judge. "Before i was interrupted by the defendants actions". Massive understatement, i respect her for trying to be professional, god knows we need more of that these days, but I wouldn't have blamed her if she had said "before i was violently attacked by an insane person who was trying to convince me he was a changed man"

To this man’s family: please don’t make excuses for his actions, especially calling it “provoked.” There are thousands of people out there with mental illnesses that don’t attack people. Your brother/son needs to be in a controlled environment where he can be monitored and if needed have medication given daily, for the safety of others as well as himself.
I would say the same thing if this was a family member that I loved. As a society we need to stop making excuses for violent offenders.

By looking at him, he does look mentally ill. But that doesn't make his behavior ok. What's worse is his family taking up for him as if what he did wasn't wrong playing the illness card. At the end of the day, you are responsible for your own actions.

This is also what happens when you are raised by someone who doesn't moderate your behavior.

As a survivor of severe DV. This makes me jump every time. So scary how her head bounced off the wall. 😢 bless her for being able to continue the ruling.
