You're the One That I Want
Lyrics

I got chills, they're multiplying
And I'm losing control
'Cause the power you're supplying
It's electrifying!
You better shape up (do-do-do)
'Cause I need a man (do-do-do)
And my heart is set on you (and my heart is set on you)
You better shape up (do-do-do)
You better understand (do-do-do)
To my heart I must be true
Nothin' left, nothin' left for me to do (ooh)
You're the one that I want (you are the one I want)
Ooh, ooh, ooh, honey
The one that I want (you are the one I want)
Ooh, ooh, ooh, honey
The one that I want (you are the one I want)
Ooh, ooh, ooh
The one I need (the one I need)
Oh, yes, indeed (yes, indeed)
If you're filled with affection
You're too shy to convey
Meditate in my direction
Feel your way
I better shape up
'Cause you need a man, I need a man
Who can keep me satisfied
I better shape up (do-do-do)
If I'm gonna prove, you better prove
That my faith is justified, are you sure?
Yes, I'm sure down deep inside
You're the one that I want (you are the one I want)
Ooh, ooh, ooh, honey
The one that I want (you are the one I want)
Ooh, ooh, ooh, honey
The one that I want (you are the one I want)
Ooh, ooh, ooh
The one I need (the one I need)
Oh, yes, indeed (oh, yes, indeed)
You're the one that I want (you are the one I want)
Ooh, ooh, ooh, honey
The one that I want (you are the one I want)
Ooh, ooh, ooh, honey
The one that I want (you are the one I want)
Ooh, ooh, ooh
The one I need (the one I need)
Oh, yes, indeed (yes, indeed), ooh-ooh!
Ooh, ooh, ooh...

We Go Together
Lyrics
We go together
Like rama lama lama ka dinga da dinga dong
Remembered forever
As shoo-bop sha wadda wadda yippity boom de boom
Chang chang changitty chang sha-bop
That's the way it should be
Wah-oooh, yeah!
We're one of a kind
Like dip da-dip da-dip doo-wop da doo-bee doo
Our names are signed
Boogedy boogedy boogedy boogedy
Shooby doo-wop she-bop
Chang chang changitty chang sha-bop
We'll always be like one, wa-wa-wa-one
When we go out at night
And stars are shinin' bright
Up in the skies above
Or at the high school dance
Where you can find romance
Maybe it might be love
Rama lama lama ka dinga da dinga dong
Shoo-bop sha wadda wadda yippity boom de boom
Chang chang changitty chang sha-bop
Dip da-dip da-dip doo-wop da doo-bee doo
Boogedy boogedy boogedy boogedy
Shoo-be doo-wop she-bop
Sha-na-na-na-na-na-na-na yippity dip de doom
Rama lama lama ka dinga da dinga dong
Shoo-bop sha wadda wadda yippity boom de boom
Chang chang changitty chang sha-bop
Dip da-dip da-dip doo-wop da doo-bee doo
Boogedy boogedy boogedy boogedy
Shoo-be doo-wop she-bop
Sha-na-na-na-na-na-na-na yippity dip de doom
Wop ba-ba lu-mop and wop bam boom!
We're for each other
Like a wop ba-ba lu-bop and wop bam boom
Just like my brother is
Sha-na-na-na-na-na-na-na yippity dip de doom
Chang chang chanitty chang sha-bop
We'll always be together
Wha oooh, yeah!
We'll always be together
We'll always be together
We'll always be together
We'll always be together
We'll always be together
We'll always be together
We'll always be together
We'll always be together
We'll always be together
We'll always be together
We'll always be together
We'll always be together
We'll always be together

In the summer of 1958, local boy Danny Zuko (John Travolta) and vacationing Sandy Olsson (Olivia Newton-John) meet at the beach and fall in love. When the summer comes to an end, Sandy—who is going back to Australia—frets that they may never meet again, but Danny tells her that their love is "only the beginning". The film moves to the start of the seniors' term at Rydell High School.

May the wonderful Olivia Newton John rest in peace. That shot of her waving goodbye is the biggest emotional gut punch I've felt in a long time.

I was just a small child when I first saw this. I didn't know much about life, but I did know that Olivia Newton John in those black tight pants was the hottest thing I've ever seen.

one of the sweetest finales in cinematic history...you can genuinely feel the good vibes of the actors and dancers...the fun, the emotion, the choreography, the camera work, the directing, the music... it really is magical

UGH the ending when she's waving and then it goes up to the clouds... I would rewind this scene on VHS so many times growing up. RIP Olivia Newton-John <3

For you who've noticed (and it's hard not to!), that wonderful gentleman at 5:50 is choreographer and stage/screen dancer Daniel Levans. He's achieved cult status over the years as "The Green Shirt Guy" with Grease fans due to his energetic dancing, especially during "We Go Together". Sadly, he passed away in 2015 from a lung infection. RIP Mr. Levans -- you're a legend!

This movie is just iconic and a monument in movie history. The story, the cast of the main 9 and the legendary chemistry between Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta. It influenced many generations from kids to teens and beyond, from the year it was released to the decade we still live in. Everything was so on point. The songs, the dancing just everything. It was a 50's high school setting released in the 70's with a story for eternity.

Have come to watch after Olivia’s passing and to envision her young, beautiful and happy, waving goodbye as she ascends to heaven.

Farewell, and thanks for everything! May you rest in the most deserved peace.🕊

Arguably the best 9-minute music sequence in movie history. I was a kid in '78 when I saw this in the movies and the place rocked. Movies aren't like this anymore.

I'm surprised they kept singing and dancing, rather than question how the hell did some high school teenagers develop the technology to build a flying car

The ending always made me sad. Considering all these “teenagers” in the movie would be like 80 now. Anyone who graduated of that time would be 80 now.
