I believe there was a case where they were interrogating a suspect and he answered some questions but other questions he remained silent and because he didn't invoke his 5th amendment rights his silence was used against him at trial and he was found guilty

This is fundamentally wrong as the government is not the citizen where rights actually exist. Just because I am interacting with government my rights are not on a light switch. Reality is against citizens and this needs to change.
