I had no idea prism photography was a thing until my sister bought me a 6" triangular glass prism last week. I didn't realise it was for photography at first, I'm into optics and I like little didactic curiosities which demonstrate physics principles so I would have been quite content to let it sit on a shelf with my rocks and stirling engines and so forth, until I read the insert in the packet 'for beautiful artistic photographs'. Thanks for showing me what I'm supposed to do with it and what effects I might achieve, I'm quite excited to take it out for a photowalk now!

Thanks for this video! Now I know what to add to my collection of accessories for shoots :) I use different mirrors a lot, different shiny accessories like chains or Christmas decor, lighters and some self made things, which I made from shiny colourful stones from the kids store :) So when I put them in front of the lens and the sun or my light is shining on them, then they add sparkles, reflections and different colours to the photos. And the whole photo looks completely different.

I use paper 3D glasses. They made veryyy dark rainbows, fun playing with light. :)

I usually tend to use what's naturally lying around me. like a glass or metal plate, an old broken prism, broken Jewellery pieces, etc.

Love these ideas. You should also try using large tumbled light Opal :)

I'm planning on crafting a DIY prism spinner by drilling a hole into one of the ends of the prism, and then contact cementing a brill bit inside of the hole. Once connected to the drill, I want to play with the drill's RPM and my camera's shutterspeed or framerates to create infinite/looping refractions.

if you use the small side of long prism in front of a smartphone camera you will get a kaleidoscope effect. 2 effects in one crystal.

My favorite prism type thing is a crystal ball!

Excellent demonstration! Gives a insight into all the different types of glass effects you can use. My only suggestion would have been to remove the "How to use" parts of the video since it's repetitive, as the steps are the same.
