Thanks for being part of my journey! If you're new here: I get paid monthly, but I stuff my envelopes weekly (even my sinking funds). This helps keep me motivated & on track with my goals, so I hope you enjoy! I started my journey in August 2020. I paid off $2,714.62 in 2020, with $2,600.27 of that going towards my credit card debt, & I plan to pay off ALL my credit card/consumer debt before the end of 2021!!

I've been trying to set up a digital budget. Haven't yet decided if I want to try cash budgeting (Though it looks like fun) But "Lunches" is something that through me off during my trial run this past month. I had budgeted for food/eating out for myself. But then twice I bought lunches for other people with my card and they paid me back in cash and I just couldn't figure out how reconcile that in my digital budget since I wound up using the cash on other things. Maybe that's the trick. To have a whole category for "Lunches" and then put any money people give me back into that so it all balances out in the end.
Still working out the bugs on this budget thing, but I'll get it figured out eventually!

You really lost me at the Christmas unstuffing 😂 but I think the more categories in conjunction with some money being in bank and some being cash is what is throwing me off

Once all my debt is paid off, I will leverage my credit cards like this! It really helps to get one month ahead as well.

You budget the way I clean my house. Room to room bouncing around as I see things that need to be cleaned... lol 😆😵‍💫

I’m thinking you could combine some categories. Especially in the “business” and “going out/date night/weekend” categories. Of course, that would mean you’d have to increase the stuffing amount. Idk...I’m all for simplifying.

Great video per usual. What exactly is the difference between your wallet and your cash envelopes? How do those envelopes differ? I've always wanted to ask you. LOL
