I had one of those flat filters but bought a hepa filter and dropped it in there - It fits and now have great suction from the dyson

If your filter is spent you will have to replace. Will help with performance and maintaining the life of your vacuum.

I have the permanent lifetime filter a, mine is spent. Are these washable, or does the dyson send a replacement? Recently seen Dryson in the states for the promo of the wet dry micro motored vacuum, brilliant!

Appreciate the info but on the post HEPA filter there is a seal/gasket that goes in, I purchased 2 of these and they come as half circles and I don't get how to install them unless you just stick them to the bottom of the HEPA filter? Any idea?

The wife has broken the clip that holds the filter in place do i need to replace the bottom casing or can it be repaired please ?

Was in hospital and a cleaning company did a number on my Dyson. It would not stand up at all and didn't have any suction. I am unable to get down on floor to fix it. Tried removing filter and I just cannot get it off. So frustrated and do not feel that well. Any ideas?

Son of a...I've had my DC07 for way many years and only knew of one filter...No wonder my Dyson isn't working as well as it used to. I guess I should have read the destructions that came with it.
